Collection: Devon White
Devon White is a former MLB center fielder whose five-year tenure in Canada remains the most celebrated chapter of his 17-season career. While he won 7 Gold Gloves and 3 World Series titles overall, he is essentially synonymous with the Toronto Blue Jays’ golden era in the early 1990s.
On February 5, 2026, he was officially named a headline inductee for the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2026, solidifying his legacy in the country.
The Blue Jays Era (1991–1995)
White arrived in Toronto via trade from the California Angels in December 1990. While he was already known as a defensive specialist, his time in Canada saw him evolve into a premier leadoff hitter and a perennial winner.
Gold Glove Dominance: White won a Gold Glove in every single season he played for the Blue Jays (1991–1995). He is widely considered the greatest defensive center fielder in franchise history.
Championship Impact: He was a cornerstone of the 1992 and 1993 World Series champion teams. In the 1993 postseason, he hit at an elite level, batting .336 across his playoff career with Toronto—significantly higher than his regular-season average.
