The 1987-88 Edmonton Oilers led by Captain Wayne Gretzky in his final game as an Oiler defeated the Boston Bruins in four games to capture their 4th Stanley Cup in only five years. Wayne Gretzky was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy. This was also the first time a team photo was taken after a Stanley Cup Finals victory.
