After much anticipation, speculation, "insider leaks" and commentary that ran the gamut adidas Hockey and the NHL launched the Home / Dark Jerseys in Las Vegas Nevada where the hockey world has convened for the awards and expansion draft.
In 2015, the NHL and adidas announced a seven-year partnership in which adidas will become the authentic outfitter of on-ice uniforms as well as an official supplier of licensed apparel and headwear for the League starting with the 2017-18 season.
All 31 (Hello Las Vegas) clubs will wear the adidas Jerseys in 2017-18 with Reebok, an adidas owned company stepping aside as the official uniform supplier to the National Hockey League.
This new uniform has been branded ADIZERO, and as with most performance products the story line is lighter, cooler, stronger. The game jerseys will be 19% lighter than last years on ice product.
Features include a perforated numbering system, Clima® technology in each of the jersey fabrics to deliver breathability and enhanced performance.
Constructed for durability, the ADIZERO Authentic NHL jersey fabrics are up to 27% stronger in burst testing and up to 72% tougher in abrasion testing compared to the current NHL jersey.
The authentic jerseys are expected to arrive at retail in September prior to the start of the regular season. Pro Am Sports will carry the entire league with a wider selection of Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames.
